Delightful chocolate cookies topped with a chocolate kiss, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Chocolate kisses

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  6. Roll dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are firm.
  8. Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
