  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth, then stir in the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and salt, followed by the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gently stir in the flour until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
