Description

Delightful chewy cookies balancing tart cherries and rich chocolate sweetness, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped cherries (fresh or dried)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until just combined.
  3. Gradually blend the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms. Gently fold in the chopped cherries and chocolate chips.
  4. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until set but still soft in the center. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 4-5 days; freeze for up to 3 months.
