Delightful mixture of sweet and savory flavors with creamy brie, tart cranberries, and sweet candied pecans, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz brie cheese, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Fresh thyme for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface, cutting it into squares.
  2. Place the squares into a greased mini muffin tin.
  3. Place a piece of brie cheese on top of the pastry in each muffin cup.
  4. In a saucepan, cook cranberries, chopped pecans, brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, and salt over medium heat until cranberries burst (5-7 min).
  5. Spoon the cranberry mixture over the brie in each pastry cup.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly in the muffin tin.
  8. Garnish with fresh thyme if desired.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

Use high-quality brie for richer taste and smooth texture. Substitute pecans with walnuts or almonds if needed.
