Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with buttermilk, starting and finishing with dry ingredients.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
