Description

Delicious butter cookies that melt in your mouth, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
  3. Add salt and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing until just combined.
  5. Scoop out portions of dough and roll them into balls, spacing them two inches apart on the baking sheet.
  6. Flatten each dough ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or freeze for up to three months.
