- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
- Add salt and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing until just combined.
- Scoop out portions of dough and roll them into balls, spacing them two inches apart on the baking sheet.
- Flatten each dough ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or freeze for up to three months.
