Description

Soft and fluffy homemade buns, perfect for family gatherings or as a versatile accompaniment to meals.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g all-purpose flour
  • 7g instant yeast
  • 50g sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 250ml milk
  • 75g butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the warm milk, melted butter, and egg.
  3. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and knead until smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Punch down the risen dough and shape into buns.
  6. Place the buns on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
