- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons neutral oil (or melted butter)
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
- Optional: 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon instant espresso powder
Instructions
- In a 10–12 oz microwave-safe mug, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt until well combined.
- Add the oil, milk, and vanilla extract; stir until smooth.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and sprinkle a few on top.
- Microwave on HIGH for 45–75 seconds; start checking at 45 seconds.
- Let it cool for 3–5 minutes before enjoying directly from the mug.
Notes
For best results, use a mug with a capacity of 10-12 oz to prevent overflow while cooking. You can customize the recipe with nuts or different extracts.
