Description

A warm, fudgy brownie in just a couple of minutes, this easy single-serve recipe is perfect for satisfying chocolate cravings without the need to bake an entire batch.


Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons neutral oil (or melted butter)
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon instant espresso powder

Instructions

  1. In a 10–12 oz microwave-safe mug, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. Add the oil, milk, and vanilla extract; stir until smooth.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips and sprinkle a few on top.
  4. Microwave on HIGH for 45–75 seconds; start checking at 45 seconds.
  5. Let it cool for 3–5 minutes before enjoying directly from the mug.

Notes

For best results, use a mug with a capacity of 10-12 oz to prevent overflow while cooking. You can customize the recipe with nuts or different extracts.
