Description

A delightful fusion of chocolate chip cookies and rich brownies, offering the best of both worlds with chewy chocolate goodness and sweet cookie dough.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brownie batter (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cream together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until light and fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually blend into the wet mixture until just combined. Spread half of this cookie dough evenly in the prepared baking dish. Pour the brownie batter over the cookie layer, then drop spoonfuls of the remaining cookie dough over the top. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For best texture, ensure your butter is softened but not melted. You can customize with different flavored chocolate chips or add nuts.
