Description

A delightful way to start your day, this Brioche French Toast is rich and buttery, soaked in a perfect egg custard.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of brioche bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter for cooking
  • Maple syrup for serving
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
  2. Dip each slice of brioche into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt some butter until it sizzles. Cook the soaked brioche slices for about 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  4. Serve warm with maple syrup and dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Use stale brioche for better texture. Can substitute milk with non-dairy alternatives.
