Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  3. Place the rolled dough onto a baking sheet or pizza stone and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over it.
  4. In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage until browned, then add the diced bell peppers and onions, cooking until soft.
  5. Evenly distribute the sausage and vegetable mixture over the cheese on the pizza dough.
  6. Crack the eggs gently onto the pizza, spacing them out evenly.
  7. Season the pizza with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until the eggs are set and the crust is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh herbs if desired, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let the pizza cool completely before storing. Refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
