Description

A delightful combination of blueberries and cream cheese nestled in flaky puff pastry, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares, approximately 4×4 inches each.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square. Top each with a few fresh blueberries.
  4. Fold the corners of each pastry over the filling to create a pocket and use a fork to seal the edges tightly. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown and puffed up.
  6. Allow the pastries to cool slightly before dusting them with powdered sugar. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh blueberries. Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of your blueberries.
