Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a sheet cake pan.
- Cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture alternately with milk, starting and ending with flour mixture.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely in the pan before frosting and serving.
