- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until bright green and crisp.
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water. Pour over the beef and broccoli, stirring well to combine.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens, coating the beef and broccoli.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the beef and broccoli hot over cooked rice.
Notes
For added flavor, consider garnishing with sesame seeds or diced scallions. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
