Description

A delightful dessert featuring layers of chocolate and butterscotch flavors with whipped topping and caramel drizzle.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup of melted butter
  • 1 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup of whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup of caramel sauce
  • Chocolate shavings or extra nuts for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix with the melted butter, stirring until smooth. Mix in the chopped nuts.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish and bake for 15 minutes. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the warm crust, then sprinkle chocolate and butterscotch chips on top. Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly.
  4. Allow to cool completely, then top with whipped topping and caramel sauce. Add chocolate shavings or nuts if desired, cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For variations, try substituting other flavors of cake mix or add peanut butter chips for a twist.
