Description

A quick and flavorful dip made with creamy black beans, fresh vegetables, and a kick of jalapeño, perfect for parties or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup red onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine black beans, red onion, cilantro, garlic, and jalapeño.
  2. Add lime juice, cumin, salt, and pepper, and mash gently with a fork or potato masher until your desired consistency is reached.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, adding more salt, pepper, or lime juice to achieve the flavor you love.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld. Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

For a smoother texture, blend the dip in a food processor. For milder flavor, omit jalapeño or replace it with sweet bell pepper.
