- 1/2 cup red onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped

- Tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine black beans, red onion, cilantro, garlic, and jalapeño.
- Add lime juice, cumin, salt, and pepper, and mash gently with a fork or potato masher until your desired consistency is reached.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, adding more salt, pepper, or lime juice to achieve the flavor you love.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld. Serve with tortilla chips.
Notes
For a smoother texture, blend the dip in a food processor. For milder flavor, omit jalapeño or replace it with sweet bell pepper.
