Description
These cinnamon rolls are incredibly fluffy and bursting with sweet cinnamon flavor, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup softened butter (for spreading)
- 1 cup brown sugar (for filling)
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1 cup raisins (optional)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk until warm, then stir in the yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix the warm milk and yeast with granulated sugar, softened butter, eggs, and salt.
- Gradually add in the flour until a dough forms and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread it generously with softened butter.
- Mix brown sugar and ground cinnamon together and sprinkle it over the buttered dough.
- Add raisins if desired, then roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- For icing, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together and drizzle it over warm rolls.
Notes
Store leftover cinnamon rolls in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Freeze for up to 2 months.
