Description

A show-stopping beef tenderloin roast, perfect for special occasions and family gatherings, featuring a simple herb rub that enhances the flavors of the tender, juicy meat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 beef tenderloin (about 23 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, rosemary, and thyme.
  3. Rub the herb mixture all over the beef tenderloin, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  4. Place the tenderloin on a roasting pan or baking dish, and roast it for about 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness.
  5. Remove the beef tenderloin from the oven, let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing, and serve with your choice of sides.

Notes

For optimal results, use a meat thermometer to check doneness and let the roast rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
