Description
A lively, flavorful dish combining juicy chicken, vibrant vegetables, and a creamy, spicy Bang Bang sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup cooked brown rice
- 1/2 cup red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 1/2 cup Bang Bang sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the heat and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is fully cooked and golden brown. After cooking, remove the chicken from the pan and slice it into strips.
- Using the same pan, add the broccoli florets and sliced red bell pepper. Sauté them for about 2-3 minutes until they become tender, maintaining a bit of crunch.
- To assemble your Bang Bang Chicken Bowl, layer the cooked brown rice as a base. Top it with the sliced chicken, sautéed vegetables, and a generous drizzle of Bang Bang sauce. Finally, garnish your bowl with freshly sliced green onions and serve warm.
Notes
Feel free to substitute chicken with tofu or shrimp for a different protein option. Customize your vegetables based on preference.
