Description

A delightful dessert combining rich dark chocolate with sweet ripe bananas, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until smooth.
  3. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  4. Whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Stir the melted chocolate, mashed bananas, vanilla extract, and salt into the egg mixture until well combined.
  6. Fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture gently.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, until set.
  8. Cool completely before removing from the pan.
  9. Enjoy the cake plain or with whipped cream or cocoa powder.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and flavor. Avoid overbaking.
