  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Stir in the sugar and softened butter until well combined.
  4. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in chopped walnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
