- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the melted butter, egg, buttermilk, and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined, then gently fold in the blueberries.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For best results, use fresh blueberries and do not overmix the batter.
