Description
Delightful baked treats with a fluffy pastry exterior and a warm, gooey Nutella center, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup Nutella
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Warm the milk and combine it with yeast and sugar in a bowl. Let it sit until foamy, about 5-10 minutes.
- Whisk in the eggs, melted butter, and salt until well combined. Gradually add the flour, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours until it doubles in size.
- Punch down the dough to release excess air. Divide into 12 equal pieces, flatten each, and spoon Nutella into the center. Fold over to seal and shape into a ball.
- Place the formed dough balls seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow them to rise for 30-40 minutes until puffy.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Enjoy fresh and warm, and consider pairing with ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature, or refrigerate for up to a week.
