- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef or vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon thyme

- 1 cup gruyère cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Melt butter and olive oil over medium heat; add sliced onions and caramelize for 20-25 minutes.
- Add minced garlic, pour in broth, and sprinkle thyme; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Cook gnocchi until they float, drain, and combine with onion mixture.
- Transfer to a baking dish, top with cheese, and bake for 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
