- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract; whisk until smooth.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, then fold in the diced apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the bread cools, whisk together powdered sugar and milk for the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread before slicing.
Notes
This bread is best served warm or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
