Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract; whisk until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, then fold in the diced apples.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. While the bread cools, whisk together powdered sugar and milk for the glaze.
  7. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread before slicing.

This bread is best served warm or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
